I think bosch already have that system where the motor is pared with the display and can only function if the specific display is connected, and the display is plug and play and can be removed easily. It also can warn you via the app if the bike is being moved. Look out for those who use the bosch system.
Other than that, a good lock can go a long way, you wouldn’t want your bike to be missing either way.
Edit: there’s like limited amount of lock that can handle angle grinder, but the one i saw that can eat through the grinder is Onguard RockSolid, expensive as heck but it does the job. Not sure about being picked though. And even then the thing you locked to might be vulnerable. Also it’s better to know the place you park, it can prevent opportunist.
I’ve never heard of bike thieves in the wild bothering to pick locks. Nothing is perfect security, it’s all about discouraging theft by making it a lot of trouble.
