    I think Canadians are envious of the film A Bridge Too Far, which highlights Americans and the Brits and the exploits that they made in the Netherlands.

    These fucks came into the war at the end, and think they sacrificed the most. Canadians were there all along and liberated most of the country before the US even got around to pulling their heads out of their asses.

      Yeah, it’s Canadians that liberated my hometown, we still have a kickass moose statue commemorating it.

      Yes, but the hardcore Wanna-be American Badasses don’t bring up The Russians did most of the fighting, and lost millions and millions of men.

      Not defending Russia today, I’m not a tankie, but just acknowledging they fought, and fought hard, for a long time in WW2.

        Yeah the eastern front was brutal.

        One thing that people don’t really mention though is that the USSR figures include all the republics. Something like 20% of the USSR deaths in WW2 were Ukrainians.
