Hi, can anyone explain what the fuzz about organic maps and the fork CoMapsis all about?

I mean Organic Maps forked maps.me and CoMaps forked Organic Maps. What is the reason behind the last fork? I’m too old to keep track 😩

    Do we already know where CoMaps is “located” and what type of mon-profit they’ve chosen for maximum transparency ?

    Or do they still need time to set things up!

      Currently there is no full time team who is working to develop new features and improve the service. But you can already contribute by making donations, and a first version is already online on F-Droid and Codeberg. The last 2 months have also been spent choosing the name and logo. You can read all about them on the comaps.app website and on mastodon : @[email protected]

        I actually looked them up and even took a look at their repository and issue board.

        The App is already installed on all my devices. It still feels like an early bird, and a yet to be seen direction. Hope they get it right this time.
