Yep, I do deserve that. However, it’s never been that way. My entire life has either been service or toleration. I would love to be valued for just being me, as I value those around me.

GrayBackgroundMusic@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some fictional side characters that have deeply resonated with you?English2·7 days agoBarclay from Star Trek TNG. I didn’t know why at the time. I liked him a lot but everyone on the show was very annoyed with him.
Then I grew up and got diagnosed with anxiety and probably autism, which is basically his main character traits. So, yeah. That’s why little me liked him.

GrayBackgroundMusic@lemm.eeto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•This person's rejection reasonEnglish01·1 year agoThis can’t be real. There are so many red flags this is fake. 1) Everything is censored. 2) GIS (Google image search) lookup only shows reddit and linkedin. The linkedin post is just as vague “learned a colleague received this!” 3) It’s too good to be true. it plays on current fears. 4) It’s just so dumb.
Writing that doesn’t suck. Narratives that aren’t “plot by stupid”.
OK, if I had to actually get creative, i like the intersection of normal problems and super powers. I loved Wandavision, all of it. My favorite part of Falcon and Winter Soldier is when Sam is trying to get a loan. Iron man 3, Tony dealing with PTSD from the invasion of New York. Quicksilver in Days of Future Past doing stupid stuff with his powers like stealing a wall full of twinkies.
