It would be fun head-canon to imagine that they created very little of it, and the rest was found throughout all the ruins in the galaxy. As if all intelligent life was suddenly wiped out just a few thousand years before humans arrived.

Polls are insanely subjective. I don’t think they should be used as evidence for anything. The majority of Trump supporters are not bad people, but I bet CNN would like you to believe they are.

As far as that citation, I don’t have one. But I know that virtually no one sees themself as a bad person. We’re all just trying to survive and protect the people we love.

I know we’re all emotional because this is a fucked up time to be living through, but the ruling class wants us hating as much of our class as possible. We can’t give in to that.

Think whatever the hell you want about how to deal with that, but I draw the line at giving these people the benefit of the doubt. They don’t deserve it, and they would not do the same for you.

I never said anything about benefit of the doubt. I’m saying when they realize they fucked up, treat them with the dignity and respect that every human deserves. And if they never stop being shit people… Fuck 'em.

I am by no means saying we “forget about it and move on.”

Empathy is not forgiveness. Empathy is not returning to the status quo. There is rampant mental illness in this country on “both sides” and we need to learn how to move forward together without forgetting what happened or we aren’t going anywhere. We barely knew what mental health even was after WW2.

There will be those that are too far gone and those who actively wished for the pain of others. Those are special cases, but the majority of Trump voters voted out of fear, not hate. If you believe it was more about hate; Congratulations you’ve been successfully propagandized.

And Putin will continue to make Trump look weak on the world stage.

I agree with this applied to those in power. But our family and neighbors can come back from this with a little humble empathy from us when they do.

I definitely feel that pain. I was lucky enough to buy a house, but that’s all I’ve got going for me. Otherwise I’m just paycheck to paycheck, living every single day on the verge of losing everything.
