Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.deto homeassistant@lemmy.world•Your recommendation for smart plugEnglish2·3 days agoI have a tp link p110m that works, but it’s matter (through home assistant’s matter integration). It works well enough for my “laundry done” routine
Are they terrible people? Cards against humanity.
Telestrations is like telephone with drawing.
Digital like? Check out Jackbox games.
I was wrong about blades, that one gives xp for desperate actions, not failed actions
I’m pretty sure most powered by the apocalypse games give you exp the moment you fail a roll. (And blades in the dark as well). Blades does have end of session xp also. I forget if pbta games do
I wouldn’t, no. Good question though.
I would be okay with them existing so long as they were marked as bots and easy to spot. (And block)

No money involved, they just want things seeded for longer, and it works for that community. I might have 100 things seeding right now with no bandwidth used, racking up points.
Millionaire? Nice. Billionaires should follow suit, but 1000x
(With ~800 billionaires in the US, that’s 79,200,000 homes)
Yes

Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.deto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it bad that I'm not graduating on time?2·11 days agoOn your cv/resume, are you putting the month-year you started and finished college, or just the end month year, or just the graduation year? As time passes, it’ll be just the year you graduate. (Some day you might just say you have the degree from school name)
Obviously the doctors are waiting on their self hosted operating room instance to spin up when it threw an error

Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.deto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What webapps do you selfhost that aren't media/game servers?English2·15 days agoI’ve got a tp-link smart plug that monitors power. The automation triggers when it draws less than a watt (a few minutes after it completes the cycle, it turns off). I have the duration set to 5m, so a slower soak cycle shouldn’t trigger it (not tested yet).

Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.deto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What webapps do you selfhost that aren't media/game servers?English10·16 days agoHome assistant is lights, switches, sensors, blinds, fans, heat/cooling, and more. I have an automation that tells me 5 minutes after the wash is done so I can move laundry into the dryer, and another one that tells me if anyone left the back door open, telling me to close it. (My dog can open it from outside).
Read this. I’ve got an m920q from Lenovo (I think it’s 920) and it does all of that. I want more Nas from it, and I might get another PC to be that, but it does great.
