    This is a community where those who seek to be manipulative or discuss manipulation can come to discuss themselves and ways they bent norms and rules. If that sounds crazy to you, there is a rationale and it isn’t necessarily illegal or immoral, in fact it’s arguably the opposite. Suppose you live in a world where you are everyone’s target, and they’re willing to engage in hypocrisy if it means fulfilling this. You cannot fight back, you are only one individual and you will lose. You cannot leave. You cannot stand to sit through it. What do you do? You find loopholes and put their tactics in such a position that they are fooled or swayed against each other. Imagine there are anonymous reporters who falsely report both SWAT and the CPS on you. Though this example is borderline illegal, as is reporting them on you, a machiavellian is the one who puts them in a position where they meet up in your home and go after each other. Machiavellianism is the martial arts of the mind, the Karate Kid for people who cannot rely on their bodies. Please note that, in order to honor Lemmy, anything that’s actually aligned with criminality will be banned, as will the posters.

    Anywho, thanks for proving my point that Kiwifarms users like to lie and manipulate people.

    No normal person is going to defend Kiwifarms as a “free speech” site. Based on more reliable sources that talk about Kiwifarms, the sign up process involves a CAPTCHA of some sort which contains multiple slurs, and users have to agree with this before they can join. Users sign up knowing full well what the aim of the site is. Leni defended Kiwifarms as a free speech site on her Lemmy account. Kiwifarms is a hate speech site and conflating the two is another thing that gave Leni away (as if Leni minimizing the harm Kiwifarms has done as “more petty harassment” in the OP of this thread wasn’t also eyebrow-raising). Leni posted two links to Kiwifarms threads, both only go to posts by “MoeAnguish”. No mention of MoeAnguish being an impersonator. MoeAnguish is the only Kiwifarms poster who linked the Lemmy thread I made and referenced things I said in the first person. There’s no implication at all that she’s being impersonated.

    Kiwifarms users are known for their trolling, manipulation and lying, though. It’s kind of part of their whole playbook.

    OP is talking about the infamous hate site Kiwifarms, which she’s a member of. Proof of this: Click the link I just wrote. It’s archived, so UK users can view it. You can see that the OP in the Kiwifarms thread I just linked, “MoeAnguish”, includes text links to archived Lemmy posts (in the words “strong” and “dislike”), specifically, Lemmy posts that talk about Leni being a Kiwifarms user. The Kiwifarms thread was made less than a day after the Lemmy post that talks about her being a Kiwifarms member. Leni has also hidden links to her Kiwifarms posts in Lemmy comments as well. In the word “question” in the first one, and in the word “overrated” in the second comment. Those links go to Kiwifarms posts by “MoeAnguish”. Same writing style and opinions as well. Context of the Kiwifarms thread is about being recognised on other sites.

    On page 2 (also archived, so UK users can see it) of the KiwiFarms thread, there’s a reply by Leni/MoeAnguish where she is gloating about me not approving of her defending Kiwifarms as a “free speech” site here on Lemmy on her Call Me Leni account (proof, scroll down to see Leni’s comment), and “skirting the law” is her referring to me saying I had to use TOR to access the site as I am from the UK. She also made the implication that I dislike Kiwifarms because I’m trans or autistic: “He probably flipped when I defended KF because he falls under the two demographics most known for seeing themselves as at odds with it.” The two demographics Kiwifarms harasses the most are trans and autistic people.

    To answer your question about why Kiwifarms is looked down upon, a couple paragraphs from Wikipedia is sufficient to understand why:

    Kiwi Farms, formerly known as CWCki Forums (/ˈkwɪki/ KWIH-kee), is a web forum that facilitates the discussion and harassment of online figures and communities. Their targets are often subject to organized group trolling and stalking, as well as doxing and real-life harassment.[3][4][5] Kiwi Farms has been tied to the suicides of three people who were victims of harassment by the website.[6][7][8]

    The site targets transgender people,[4][15] people with disabilities,[16][17] and those its users believe to be neurodivergent.[16][17][15] Targets of harassment are referred to on the forum as “lolcows”, named after the idea that they can be “milked for laughs”.[18] Tactics include publishing their victims’ personal information (“doxing”), trying to get them fired from their jobs, reporting crimes at their addresses in an attempt to have police dispatched to their homes (“swatting”), and harassing their family members and friends. Some of Kiwi Farms’ harassment campaigns have continued for months or years, and some aim to drive the targets to suicide.[4][19] Both the site’s owner Moon and the userbase of Kiwi Farms have been described as antisemitic, with Kiwi Farms users targeting a transgender Jewish convert with antisemitic abuse.[20][21]

    Discord’s purpose is for direct messaging friends and joining chat servers. The purpose of Kiwifarms is to spread hate. It was also responsible for the suicide of the Higan/BSNES emulator developer, Near/Byuu.

    Near stated that they and their friends had been doxxed and goaded into suicide by members of the website, and that Near had been mocked for being autistic
