My first computer was a ZX81, but I think it was a custom build between my father, a carpenter, and my uncle, an electrician who fixed arcade games.
It was housed in a wooden case with a proper keyboard. The 16K RAM pack had been soldered on inside, so there was no case of it ever crashing due to a bad connection.
Simple black and white graphics with no sound. I loved it to bits.
So it’s an English web page advertising a book that’s only available in German, Spanish, Italian, and French. Damn, I was going to order one.
The 8 bit guy. I loved his retro computing channel and then one day, he acquired a rare IBM computer and promptly destroyed the power supply by sticking a screwdriver into it (if I remember correctly).
For some reason, I googled about this and discovered he’s a gun nut. They’re videos of him going grocery shopping with his rifle on his back which apparently he does this knowing it will annoy people.
Unsubscribed from the channel and never looked back.
