Why else would it be introduced? If they don’t plan to lock down the entire internet, the age verification is useless. It could be security theater but it receives full media attention. So it is important. What else but war could be so important that it demands so much power over civil liberty?

This is going to happen. The European age verification and messenger surveillance are preparations to control any remaining opposition for that war.

Like the other comment says, it must be the New START treaty, but I am no expert. It seems like it’s a Russian excuse for their carelessness however some parts of the treaty were respected so I think Putin and Trump had some topics to clarify.

So some parts of the treaty must have been considered active.

The issue is that because of nuclear treaties between USA and Russia, Russia is required to park their nuclear bombers out in the open. If USA wants Russia to keep them out in the open, they had to make a good argument.

They evaluate reality with other priorities. To them it seems like they are doing good.

Almost all cruelties are committed for the greater good. People just disagree on what is good.

Seems that I am out of my depth because I cannot imagine what France could do militarily. I would assume that any ship would be vulnerable if Chinese aircraft missiles have a longer range than the French ones so that France cannot defend their ships with their aircrafts.

To be fair, what could a single billionaire do? They are far more powerful than most, but they would have to cooperate with other billionaires to make that change.

There are 3000 billionaires. Who is going to stick their head out if the necessary changes will be opposed by many billionaires as well as huge parts of the regular population?

It would be better for society to improve itself instead of waiting for a solution by the billionaires. Difficult while being trained to be a consumer, but possible.

Not sure if that’s the reason but I heard that gnu was chosen because gnus, the animal, are essentially one herd spread across Africa. A gnu that loses its particular herd, e.g. while crossing a river, can join any other. Supposedly that’s not the same for other herd animals.

Only for ‘peaceful purposes’. You have to run nuclear reactors to create plutonium for the bomb. So all peaceful nuclear electricity creates the material for the bombs.
