Except for the last half of the last sentence, which undercuts the entire point by giving weight ignorant dipshits like Donnie Jr who don’t understand what a doctorate is. There is zero reason to point out that some people disagree when those people are blatantly wrong.

There is zero chance the AI will do that more effectively than the existing process where applications are screened for those exact things already. AI will most likely do an even worse job.

The OPs experience is on a computer, so your experience with a TV doesn’t contradict their experience.

snooggums@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Those of you that have negative sentiments towards AI: What would you want to happen right now?English8·22 hours agoI want all of the CEOs and executives that are forcing shitty AI into everything to get pancreatic cancer and die painfully in a short period of time.
Then I want all AI that is offered commercially or in commercial products to be required to verify their training data and be severely punished for misusing private and personal data. Copyright violations need to be punished severely, and using copyrighted works being used for AI training counts.
AI needs to be limited to optional products trained with properly sourced data if it is going to be used commercially. Individual implementations and use for science is perfectly fine as long as the source data is either in the public domain or from an ethically collected data set.

snooggums@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Spotify caught hosting hundreds of fake podcasts that advertise selling drugsEnglish33·2 days agoStreaming sites not including the option to block content is frustrating.
I remember when Netflix let you hide individual movies so they didn’t clutter up the categories. When it was removed there was a rumor that giving it a low score would hide it but that never worked for me. Don’t even remember the other services offering an option to hide stuff.
Really wish that option was common.
snooggums@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are the most unhinged cartoons in your expert opinion?English6·2 days agoI love them all but its like, how did this shit get on TV and then anywhere near children lmao.
The Brak Show was on Adult Swim along with a lot of other cartoons aimed at adults. I seriously doubt Happy Tree Friends was grouped into children’s programming, but I only know that from the internet.
Fairly Oddparents & Billy and Mandy both had stuff that might be heavy or scary if you think about it, but the surface level stuff had enough humor involved to make it less intense than it could have been. A lot of shows for kids have more complex stuff that goes over kid’s heads.
